Hi, I listened to the show over the easter-break. Sorry to hear about the quiz - in my opinion (and that’s why I post it here - maybe as start for a little discussion) it’s a difficult thing in podcasts (or similar show) - basically I like quizzes (as I know I’m the best :-)) but in a way, that just the “current” knowledge counts - questions for which I have enough time (and sources) to answer don’t encourage me (it’s not the right espression, but I don’t know any better) to enter the competion.
That’s not to say that I wouldn’t answer it, but mainly only if I hear the question and can answer it immediately. For the last question it was hard for me (I’m from Austria - I speak english ok but not french - so it would have been a process to think of words I would expect not to be english but french and than check it in the internet…) - and that’s one “unfair” side in my opinion (cause then mainly the affordable time counts).
Please don’t take it as criticism but as reasoning why I (and maybe others) didn’t take part.
Apart from that it’s REALLY GREAT that in addition to the time you put into producing the podcast you also provide prizes (hope you keep up the questions - certainly there will come a question which I can answer out of my head and will take part).
Concerning the length of the show and/or periodicity - hey, you’re the boss, director, presenter, guy_who_pays_the_bills_for it - so it’s up to you. Personally for me it’s sort of a nice treat when I switch on the pc and (unscheduled) see theentry of a new show.
bye

Thanks for the comment, Klaus.
This is still very new to me, and the contest was my idea. It just seemed a good idea with the French theme. In future contests, I will try to make the question more fitting to the topics of the show, accidents, science and history.

Hello Len,
My compliments to your podcastshow(s). I really liked them.
Especially the history sections!
Maybe sometime you can make a show about dutch aviation.
As you probably know we had some famous aviators and plane builders to like for instance Antony Fokker.
Keep on with the good work. I’ll stay subscribed and will be listening
Regards,
