  1. Hi Len,

Thanks you for the Dutch aviation contribution! I loved it.
I also was particularly interested in the sound fragment at he beginning of your podcast. I recognized this helicopter concept because there was also an all Dutch design helicopter by this concept. The “Kolibrie”. I thought it was an all Dutch invention this ramjet but that seems not be wright.
You can watch a video of the “kolibrie” trough this link:

  2. Len,
happy as always to get a new episode. Somehow, there’s nothing like catching up to a new podcast you found by listening to tons and tons of back-episodes. After that, whatever interval the podcaster chooses seems to be too long :)
It was interesting to hear about the Tennerife accident again. Usually, there’s always “lessons learned” after such a catastrophic accident, I think in this case wasn’t it that they used the prase “cleared to” much more restrictive thereafter? The original ATC communication said “you are cleared to ” which today afaik wouldn’t happen anymore. Today you’ll only get a “after departure climb and maintain… bla bla”, right? I think it would be cool if you added those “lessons learned” and the changes we can still see today to the show.

    Thanks for the program

  3. Hi Len,
Love your podcast! I have just begon my flying lessons for a PPL license. Worked as at Fokker Aircraft, building the F100. Appreciate your attempt to speak Dutch from the accident report on Tenerife, with an accent, but I could understand it, compliments! I’m especcialy interested in the lessons we can learn from mistakes others made. Also the ‘news’ section I like very much.
Thanks for the effort for making this program. Looking forward to new podcasts, I’m listening!
